I think the largest obstacle in this case would have been to keep the workers quiet about it, there would have been hundreds of people involved. Not to mention the cost of the alterations.

Wow, that is fascinating. Although I highly doubt it, there is certainly a possibility, and it really does make you think! I love stuff like that, true mysteries!

I don't believe this personally, I made it up now actually, but I thought I would throw it out there for grins. Because there really aren’t many conspiracies…I guess we can start making our own! *laughs* ;D My Faux Conspiracy: Yea, it is true...no one could keep a secret like that. White Star Line could have placed them on the Titanic as crew...and we KNOW the majority didn't make it. Could the knowing parties been denied lifeboat space, perhaps? A White Star conspiracy to keep the workers quiet, no one left to tell their tale.

That would of been recorded because you know that they would of been yelling bloody murder if that was true.Besides why would Ismay and Andrews of been on it if that was true?

It could be possible that Andrews wasn't in on the plot. Ismay could have already had it set up to escape safely, leaving over 1,500 souls to perish. It could also be possible that the 'crew' did not know the ship was going to sink. The individuals could have been told another scenario or informed that they would escape safely. Either way, it is all made-up, but worth a chuckle to create your own conspiracies, don't you think? ;D

There have been the same conspiracy theories for generations. They have all been disproved. Ok, in regard to your statement, "...if so they would have tried to send 2228 to the grave instead o' 1500” Not so, only those that would have been potential snitches would have been denied access. I feel we're at the point that we're making up our own conspiracies...this isn't real; we all know that by now. She struck a berg and sank, that is the reality of it. There were no little green men from Mars, a cover-up by the White Star Line or I.M.M. None of that happened. It was a tragic event. I’m sure I can continue making up scenarios to this new ‘conspiracy’, that isn’t too difficult. I am just emphasizing the fact that I do not believe in them, any of them. I figured that we might as well have a little fun and create some new conspiracies; it sure beats chatting about things that have already been disproved. At least we can make up some that would be harder to prove one way or another.

Because of the bad design of the bulheads, Titanic sank very quickly and some of the nearby ships were trapped in ice, like the Californian.
Just have to say something about this. The bulkheads went up to E Deck, if they had gone right up what difference would it have made.. NONE. Titanic could stay afloat with the first four flooded and any thwo flooded. What happened to Luisitania and Britannic san in under 20 minutes with bulkheads right up. It just would not have made any difference because four compartments were opened to the sea.
As for the switch with Olympic, this is the biggest joke in Belfast. How do you keep 14,000 yard workers and half of Belfast to keeping it a secret about the switch.
